If you don't know where to go in Recoleta, I like the area around Parque Vincete Lopez. A good Recoleta walk starts around the cemetery and heads down Alvear Street. You can stop in the Alvear Palace Hotel for a drink at their lobby bar. Continue down and pop in the Park Hyatt Hotel for another drink. Make a right on Libertad Street. Walk a few blocks and then turn right on Arenales. Along Arenales, you will enter the design district, which has a lot of home decor stores. There are also some nice cafés. It has a very posh feel. Walking down Arenales a few blocks, you will hit Parque Vinceto Lopez. This area has a very Parisian vibe.
